Un fotografo a Manhattan: East village, quartiere degli artisti

Here we are with my first blog post, in the meantime I have taken measurements of the area.

The sensations who travels give us are always full of impulses especially when the city is New York. The city that has always fascinated me.

When you live in Manhattan for some months you immediately understand that you are not in a usually city, you are not in a normal metropolis, you are inside a social sistem that everyone knows well what they want. Here, people have ideas, ambitions, dreams and projects and fuck if they do not come real, they try ever do it.

Obviously even here life does not seem easy, the dramatic looms in sight as well as success but despite this people seem to be relaxed and not very nervous.

East village the area of Manhattan so-called artists' district where every kind of inspiration and vision takes shape, from murals that smear walls and buildings, to alternative places at night and during the day (I caught the animal bar, unusual as a thing, full moreover, those who love them go there with them to meet other people).

There are boutiques of all kinds, from vintage and used clothes to new and latest fashion, ethnic, oriental and of course industrial furniture stores. Restaurants, bars, fast food and supermarkets. In the evening the neighborhood is also full of initiatives and live band music that enjoy echoing solos along the streets not surprisingly here lived Charlie Parker (famous Jazz musician and Andy Wahrol founder of pop art).

At the moment the life of New York seems to offer all kinds of fun, alternatives and choices, I just have to find the right mood to face things, overcome the shyness of the stranger, close the door, charge me with energy and take to the street.

Life is downstairs and therefore strength.
